I am participating in Based India to contribute to the Web3 ecosystem by solving a real-world challenge faced by developers and hackathon participants in India. Hackathons have become an essential part of the Web3 space, where builders collaborate and create innovative solutions. However, the process of finding trustworthy, skill-aligned teammates remains a significant challenge. With the rapid growth of India's developer community, tools like BuidlFindr can streamline the team-building process and enhance collaboration, making the hackathon experience more efficient and impactful for everyone involved.
The primary challenge I'm focusing on is the difficulty developers face in finding reliable teammates with relevant skills for Web3 hackathons. Currently, many hackathon participants struggle to identify collaborators based on past experiences, specific technical expertise, or verified contributions. This lack of transparency and effective matchmaking reduces the overall success rate of teams, leading to missed opportunities and poorly executed projects.
Our submission, BuidlFindr, addresses this challenge by creating a decentralized platform where hackathon participants can find teammates through on-chain reviews. These reviews are left by past collaborators, focusing on specific hackathons and technologies used. By filtering teammates based on verifiable skills and previous reviews, users can form high-quality, skill-aligned teams without friction.
The project leverages Talent Protocol on Base Chain, enabling users to view profiles, Builder Scores, and verified reviews from other participants. The review system includes key information such as hack name, technologies used, and star ratings, making it easy for participants to evaluate potential teammates. Additionally, if teammates leave mutual reviews, the platform covers transaction fees, incentivizing collaboration without adding financial burden.
In essence, BuidlFindr solves the problem of finding trustworthy collaborators by providing transparent, verified reviews, filtered by skills and technology stacks, thereby improving the overall hackathon experience.

During the Buildathon, we introduced several key features to enhance the functionality and user experience of BuidlrFindr:
On-Chain Review Filtering by Technology: We added a feature allowing users to search for potential teammates by filtering on-chain reviews left by past collaborators based on specific technologies used in past hackathons. This enables users to quickly find collaborators with expertise in the exact tech stack they need, streamlining the team formation process for hackathons.
Gas-Free Review Submissions: To encourage user engagement and reduce friction, we integrated a gas fee sponsorship mechanism, allowing users to submit reviews for teammates without incurring transaction costs. This was made possible by having the platform cover the gas fees, ensuring smooth and barrier-free interactions.
Enhanced Reputation Scoring System: We integrated Talent Protocol's API to automatically retrieve and display each user's Talent Passport, which includes key information like activity scores, identity verification, skills scores, and user bios. This feature enhances the platform's ability to showcase a builder’s full profile, giving users a detailed view of potential teammates' expertise, reputation, and past contributions, all directly on-chain.
These features were added to increase the usability of the platform and foster more reliable and efficient collaboration between builders, especially in the context of hackathons.
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
