The problem BugScout.AI solves

BugScout is an AI-powered smart contract security scanner designed to make smart contract development safer and more efficient. Developers can use BugScout to:

1. Identify vulnerabilities
2. Get real-time feedback
3. On-chain verification
4. Protects from scams which are everywhere — memecoins, rug pulls etc.
5. Import existing contracts

By automating security analysis and integrating it with blockchain technology, BugScout streamlines smart contract auditing and fosters a more secure Web3 environment.

Challenges we ran into

One major hurdle we encountered was ensuring AI integration with smart contract analysis while minimizing false positives. Initially, the AI model would sometimes flag safe code as vulnerable due to overly generic patterns.

To resolve this:

1. We fine-tuned the AI model (leveraging Codestral by Mistral.ai) to better understand Solidity-specific code.
2. We incorporated context-aware filtering to refine the analysis output, ensuring only relevant and actionable vulnerabilities are highlighted.
3. We added a feedback mechanism for users to validate findings, enabling iterative improvements to the system over time.

This combination of model fine-tuning and user-driven feedback drastically improved the accuracy and reliability of BugScout’s reports.
