The problem Breew solves
Breew is a wallet service for businesses, simply a banking-as-a-service platform, but for Web3.
Breew makes it easier for businesses to provide Web3 support for their customers, simply by integrating our APIs.
Breew's Wallet-as-a-Service provides smart crypto wallets, eliminating the need for customers to manage or remember seed phrases.
Without storing private keys, Breew's wallets are secure and protected by Multi-Party Computation. This means that user wallets can only be accessed by a password, set on wallet creation.
Wallets by Breew can currently be used to send tokens on several chains, starting with Base, and other supported chains. Users can send any token of their choice, either by sending supported parameters in the token field, or by passing in the token's contract address in the request.
Currently in the works, is the ability to swap tokens on supported chains, by leveraging available DEX pools for token pairs, and swapping over the cheapest/most profitable option for the user. The first chains being worked on for token swaps include Base, using Uniswap and BaseSwap as the primary DEXes, with others in secondary consideration.
In the future, we're looking to enable earn features, by giving users the ability to interact with liquidity pools and earn rewards on these pools.
Challenges I ran into
The first challenge was figuring out Fully Homomorphic Encryption while building the encryption modules. This was figured out with the help of some senior engineers, who put me through the implementation.
Another challenge was working with the Go-Ethereum package for the first time, which was quickly resolved with the help of the detailed documentation.
