The problem Breadcrumb.cash solves

Breadcrumb is an open platform that lets any project tap into the attention economy and InfoFi without facing high fees or restrictive screening. By removing unnecessary barriers, it makes it easy for builders to connect directly with audiences, share their message, and reward engagement in an open, decentralized way that’s accessible to everyone.

Another point is projects struggle to break through with KOLs or manage outreach at scale. Breadcrumb solves this by constantly scanning Twitter and rewarding genuine contributions in real time, helping builders get their message out without the friction of traditional gatekeepers.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was building an algorithm that fairly rewards genuine contributions while filtering out spam. Striking the right balance is tricky, set the filters too loose and spam slips through, make them too strict and you risk punishing real users.

It’s been a constant work in progress, with continuous tweaks, testing, and feedback loops to improve accuracy. At first the algo only added points, then we adding skipping, and now even slashing. While challenging, it’s also been a fun process. Each iteration makes the system smarter, fairer, and better at amplifying the voices that truly add value.
