The problem Bootsstraps solves
Lots of people have great ideas, but they don't know three things: where to look for funding, which grant or investor is actually looking for something like theirs, and how to pitch it well. And once they do find something, a second problem shows up: how do they prove that what they're saying about their project is true? Today that's handled with scattered documents, screenshots, and slow manual reviews. Bootstrap fixes this by turning a good idea into something that's both fundable and verifiable.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was designing the "proof" system so it's verifiable without exposing private data — we only store a cryptographic hash of each uploaded proof, not the file itself, so a funder can confirm it exists and hasn't changed without ever seeing its contents. Another was making sure the AI agent could never move funds on its own: every payment has to be explicitly authorized for that specific task, and the app never talks to the AI model directly — everything goes through our own filter/guardrails first.
