The problem BookStak solves

Followings on Farcaster lack a diverse, fun amount of ways to engage their audience. Bookstak allows those with influence on Farcaster a method of both sharing their book taste, and earn money for doing so.

Over time, we leverage left and right swipe data to draw connections between Farcaster users, and begin to build out a book database with reviews, etc to compete with Goodreads.

Challenges I ran into

The team has been playing with the concept for close to 6 months, but outside of a crypto context. We realized way too late into the buildathon that Base/Farcaster present intriguing, unique opportunities for the project.

1. We get a social graph on Farcaster to launch to.
2. Minting the creation of Staks gives us monetization immediately upon launch.
3. 0x addresses allows us to stream affiliate revenue immediately back to user's accounts.

Unfortunately, we were unable to build on any of these ideas in the time we were had beyond initial feasibility research.

We even realized that perhaps even the minting of a list of links could be used to create an on-chain Linktree on the permaweb! We will likely explore this before launching the Book product as a proof of concept.
