The problem Boltz solves

How Boltz Ensures Transparency in Ticketing:
The recent controversy surrounding BookMyShow’s sale of Coldplay concert tickets highlighted a significant lack of transparency in traditional ticketing platforms. Fans alleged that the platform facilitated third-party resellers in offering tickets at exorbitant prices, making it difficult for genuine customers to secure their spots. Additionally, there were concerns that a portion of tickets was withheld and later sold at inflated rates.

Boltz eliminates these issues by leveraging blockchain technology to ensure complete transparency in ticket sales.

1. Immutable NFT Tickets: Each ticket is issued as a non-transferable NFT, meaning it cannot be resold or transferred to another wallet. This is achieved by overriding the transfer function in the ERC-721 smart contract, effectively preventing secondary market scalping.

2. Decentralized and Verifiable Transactions: Unlike centralized platforms that can manipulate ticket availability, Boltz operates on a decentralized infrastructure, ensuring that all transactions are publicly recorded on the blockchain. This removes the possibility of tickets being secretly withheld and resold at higher prices.

3. Genuine Customer Access: By restricting the resale of tickets and ensuring transparent allocation, Boltz guarantees that tickets reach genuine fans at fair prices, eliminating middlemen and unauthorized markups.

With Boltz, ticketing becomes fair, transparent, and tamper-proof, setting a new standard for the industry.

Challenges I ran into

Due to time constraints we couldn't add the following features:

1. QR code verification at entry. Owners will recieve a qr code along with nft which will contain all the ticket details.
2. Spotify Oauth API integration: Top listeners of an artist will be given priority while buying tickets.
