The problem BMC solves
BMC enables creators and builders to create a personalized page where others can support them with cryptocurrencies.
What's the problem you ask?
- Current systems are largely geo-restricted, and or unavailable to some parts of the world.
- We couldn't find a web3 native platform to support the people whose work we respect, so we built one.
The premise with BMC is very simple, it allows anybody to accept support for the work that they do.
We make it as frictionless as possible for them to do so.
🦄Features Offered
- A personalized web page.
- Support components that can be embedded anywhere on the web.
- Allow supporters to send tokens of their choice, and we take care of swapping the tokens, so that creators can get the expected payout.
Challenges we ran into
Most of the problems we ran into were teething problems with Web3.
📈With The Graph
For our testing we were running an odd setup where we forked the matic main-net using hardhat, we were never able to get the graph to sync with our custom fork.
🍣With SushiSwap
A bunch of time was consumed working the sushi swap APIs.
🔮Plans for the future
As we worked on the product, we realized there is potential here for something big.
- Build out web3 discoverability
- Allow streaming of tokens (possibly with @superfluid)
- Notifications when someone sends you money with EPNS (currently out of bounds because of EPNS being unavailable on the Matic Mainnet)
