India is facing a dire shortage of blood on a daily basis and as a result, people lose lives. Currently, if anyone needs blood they have to call each blood bank individually, or look for donors personally. Response time becomes a matter of life or death, and overburdened doctors and distressed family members often lack the resources necessary to find blood in time. According to NACO statistics, a lot of states have a surplus of blood supply whereas in some places, even 50% of the demand is not met. We aim to tackle this problem by connecting all the blood banks across India and creating a central repository, thus saving time and resources. We have provided search options on the basis of blood type/component required, state, city, etc. Another feature is a map view of the nearby blood banks. Other than blood banks, interested donors can also register on the app and will be notified when a need arises. To help rural India, we have a feature of translating the contents of the app to a regional language, based on the current location of the user. We also propose to add a voice to text feature for the search fields,
