BlockSeek

A decentralized Q&A platform

The problem BlockSeek solves

Centralized Q&A platforms have complete ownership over the content and discussions on their platform. This leads to a lack of transparency and insufficient user privacy. Moreover, they earn huge profits out of this and the original content owners are left out of this process and do not receive any revenue for their work. In today's world even with the advancement of technology and better internet penetration, it is still difficult to obtain answers for some unconventional questions. It is difficult to directly obtain answers to such questions and can be answered only by domain experts.

BlockSeek is a decentralized alternative for such platforms. It provides a blockchain-based forum where any users can seek answers to questions of any kind. They can post the question on this forum and also offer a small reward in crypto to the most satisfactory answer obtained for that question. This will encourage other users to respond with better quality of answers and also enhance the usefulness of the platform, avoiding spamming as there is a small gas fee associated while answering to a question . The Dapp has been deployed on the Celo Alfajores testnet and the Celo extension wallet is used to sign transactions
The rewards pertaining to the answer are paid in CELO directly thereby avoiding intermediaries and ensuring credible payments.

Challenges we ran into

We were relatively new to blockchain development and had to look up resources on solidity and Web3 js while building the Dapp. The Celo docs were also helpful in guiding us throughout the journey. Due to some time constraints, we weren't able to enhance the UI/UX of the Dapp.
