Why are you participating for Based Africa?

I am participating in Based Africa because I am passionate about helping to grow and strengthen the Web3 ecosystem by leveraging my skills to create innovative content that serves both onchain and offchain audiences. My goal is to contribute unique, educational, and engaging material that benefits not only seasoned Web3 users but also novices, especially those in the African region who may be new to the space. By making Web3 content more accessible and relatable, I hope to empower a broader audience to participate in the decentralized future. Ultimately, I believe that through this , I can contribute to the development of a vibrant, engaging, inclusive Web3 community both in Africa and globally.

What challenges are you focusing on?

There are lots of Web3 content available for educational purposes, covering everything from blockchain fundamentals to decentralized applications and token economics. However, a key challenge lies in the gap between passive learning and active engagement. Currently, there is no widely recognized, casual method for users to test and reinforce the knowledge they acquire from these resources via onchain social media platform. This lack of interactive contents makes it difficult for learners to gauge their understanding, stay motivated, and deepen their engagement with the material.

How does your submission address this challenge?

To address the challenge, I have developed a dynamic, regularly updated on-chain social media content that allows users to engage with Web3 trivia questions in a fun, interactive, and educational manner. This content leverages an onchain tool where users can casually test their knowledge. By introducing trivia as a form of engagement, it turns learning into a social and gamified experience, encouraging users to deepen their understanding of Web3 concepts while fostering community participation. The trivia questions are regularly updated to reflect the latest trends and developments in the Web3 space and most especially base ecosystem, ensuring that the content stays relevant and keeps users engaged over time. This solution not only helps users measure their knowledge but also motivates them to stay informed about the fast-evolving Web3 ecosystem.

Challenges I ran into

One of the primary challenges I faced was selecting the right niche of content that would resonate with users and encourage engagement. To overcome this, I conducted quick user research to identify topics of interest within the Web3 community. Through this research, I discovered that Web3 trivia questions had the potential to attract significant interest due to their casual and interactive nature.

Another challenge was curating trivia questions that were both informative and engaging, while ensuring they were relatable to the target audience. Crafting questions that strike the right balance between being educational and entertaining required careful thought and creativity.

Additionally, choosing the right tools to turn this idea into visually appealing content was crucial. I had to explore and experiment with different platforms and design solutions to ensure that the trivia page was not just active but also visually engaging, creating an enjoyable experience.
