The rapid evolution of Internet has lead to the birth of smart devices, smart homes and smart cities all over the globe. Smart homes have security, privacy and sustainability concerns. Blockchain provides a feasible solution to all these problems as it is a decentralized, trustless network of peers relying solely on the strength of cryptographic algorithms. This POC level project aims to use Blockchain to develop a Multifaceted, Resilient and Secure Smart Home Management System.
Some use cases considered in this implementation are:
There is also scope for identity management on the blockchain, further minimizing the risk of malpractice. It can also be used to power microgrids, by enabling the home servers to trade their excess renewable energy to the grid.
