The problem Blocare solves

The most perplexing parts of healthcare is handling patient-related data. The existing data pool only becomes larger by the day. The data collection and management needed at this scale is a matter of worry. Data overload and mismanagement often lead to wrong diagnoses and compromises data security.

This is where we step in. Our website uses IPFS technology to store and encrypt patient records. The patient has the option of downloading his or her medical records. The patient has complete control over their medical information and, with their permission, may share access to their data with doctors/insurance providers.

Our integrated voice assistant (which can support regional languages in the future) makes it easier for patients to schedule medical appointments with doctors based on their availability. The patient can reschedule their appointment timings.
Based on their choices, our voice assistant will recommend the health insurance coverage that will benefit them.
To assist patients suffering from mental stress in recent years, our voice assistant listens to the patient's everyday issues and provides effective information and suggestions. It is more focused towards the younger population and motivates them to move forward in life.

Challenges we ran into

Working with Inertia JS for the first time was a challenging task ahead. Although we faced some roadblocks while integrating React JS with Laravel we are glad that we were able to use Ineria to provide server side rendering and create a single page application.

Storing the patient records in the encrypted form and decrypting the file and let the patient to download the pdf to maintain privacy of the records was a huge challenge on our way. We are glad that we were able to store the data in the encrypted format in the IPFS and the decryption can only be performed in our app which allows only the patient to download the records thereby maintaining the confidentiality. We are glad that we were able to establish security to the patient data successfully.

We are glad that we were able to integrate a Voice Assistant within a short span of time. This was the first time we are dealing with Alan AI and we are proud that we were able to list down the recommendations that were suggested by the Voice Assistant.
