BizarreBeasts had momentum: original art, NFT collections, a $BB token, a Farcaster channel, growing collectors; but many of the touch points were scattered. The BB community had to jump between platforms to engage with different parts of the BizarreBeasts ecosystem.

I built the BizarreBeasts Miniapp to solve this problem for myself and the community.

🚀 What I Built: A Complete Engagement Ecosystem

I'm @bizarrebeast, a visual artist, musician, content creator, builder, and entrepreneur. Everything featured in the BizarreBeasts app: artwork, characters, web3 games, music, posts, and every line of code, I built over thousands of hours of creativity and experimentation.

Challenge 1: Cross-Platform Integration & Authentication

The Challenge:

Getting the app to work seamlessly across Farcaster, web browsers, and as a mobile app was more challenging than I anticipated. Each platform has its own quirks, and I needed everything to function: wallet connections, Farcaster login, social sharing, NFT minting, and working game play, no matter where a user accessed the app.

What Made It Hard:

• The Farcaster SDK works completely differently inside the miniapp vs a regular web browser

• Keeping wallet connections and trackable actions synced when users switch between platforms

• Social sharing (casting) only works in Farcaster; had to build a smart UI that knew when to show/hide features

• Making it work as a PWA while still having web3 functionality

• Session persistence was a challenge to overcome

How I Solved It:

I pieced together multiple authentication systems (Privy, Reown AppKit, Farcaster SDK) and built a unified system that detects what platform a user is on and adapts. Added Coinbase Smart Wallet support so anyone can jump in without seed phrases or a preexisting wallet. Built a lot of conditional logic so the app knows if you're in Farcaster or if you're on the web, it adjusts accordingly.

Challenge 2: User Engagement & Economic Design

The Challenge:

How can you design an app that users genuinely want to use daily, while also giving users a share of real ownership and strengthening the project?

My Approach:

I built multiple engagement loops that feel natural:

• Daily rituals that take 30 seconds to a few minutes to complete, but reward consistency (onchain attestations, streaks, playing games, and social sharing) with $BB rewards

• Real token utility - $BB isn't just for holding; you use it to play games, enter contests, and unlock features

• The Empire tier system rewards BB token and NFT holders

• Stickers & meme creator helps spread the community ownership, build culture, and empowers users to have FUN with BizarreBeasts artwork

• Economic alignment - when you play the coin toss game or mint exclusive NFTs, tokens get burned. When you hold, you earn. Participation makes your BB bag more valuable.

The key was building the app so there's always something to do (new rituals, games, contests), but it never feels forced and stays fresh and entertaining, where participation genuinely helps both token holders' portfolios and the project grow.

Challenge 3: Building Analytics for Web3 Social Apps

The Challenge:

There are no analytics platforms built for web3 social apps. I needed complete visibility into user engagement, contest performance, game economics, and platform health—but standard tools like Google Analytics can't track Farcaster FIDs, wallet addresses, ritual completions, contest voting, flip game economics, or token burns.

What Made It Hard:

• Users have multiple identities (FID + wallet + username) that needed unified tracking across all features

• Complex queries spanning multiple tables: rituals, contests, games, attestations, and token transactions

• Real-time requirements for live admin monitoring as users participated

• Featured ritual sponsors needed detailed ROI metrics (impressions, CTR, conversions)

• No existing frameworks for web3-specific analytics like tier-based rewards or streak multipliers

• Economic oversight required tracking token flows, burns, rewards, and withdrawals across all mechanics

How I Solved It:

I built a complete custom admin platform with specialized dashboards:

• User Analytics Dashboard - Search any Farcaster user by FID or username, view complete engagement history, activity charts, and participation metrics

• Rituals Analytics - Track all 9 daily rituals with live completion data, plus detailed sponsor metrics showing impressions, CTR, conversion rates, and share performance for featured rituals

• Contest Analytics - Monitor daily entry trends, unique vs repeat participants, top performers, and prize pool tracking across all contests

• Flip Game Admin Panel - Award bonus spins to specific users, set monthly prizes, conduct provably-fair drawings, and track overall game economics (total flips, winnings, withdrawals)

• Central Admin Hub - Live overview dashboard with key metrics, quick actions for common tasks, and recent activity feed

All custom-built and optimized for web3 social gaming, giving me data-driven insights into what's working and where to focus development efforts.
