The problem BizarreBeasts solves
Many artists and creators entering web3 face barriers when it comes to building accessible tools for community engagement, especially without a coding background. In my case, the BizarreBeasts project had momentum, a passionate audience, and utility ($BB, NFTs, Farcaster channel, Boosters), but no single hub to access, understand, or act on it.
The Miniapp solves this by:
- Consolidating ecosystem tools in one place
- Enabling a non-technical creator, like me, to reward, track, and empower my community
- Reducing onboarding friction for new users (via ETH → $BB swap)
- Enhancing engagement through real-time leaderboards and rewards
It’s not just a tool—it's the first tangible step in realizing my long-term vision of truly BIZARRE creator-owned economies.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge was the technical gap between my vision and my ability to execute the idea. I’m a visual artist with no coding background. In 2024, I hired a developer to build a miniapp for the BizarreBeasts project, but the work was never completed, and the funds were wasted. That experience, along with a few other events that have setback my plan, have slowed down by process, and made me hesitant to approach others in the industry for collaboration.
The breakthrough for this phase of my project came after connecting with g0hst on Farcaster, another builder in the space who believed strongly in supporting creators like me and supporting artists in onchain economies. g0hst had a pre-existing framework that made sense to start the BizarreBeasts miniapp with, and now the miniapp is live, real, and already being used by my community.
I am excited to continue expanding the features of the app, including:
- Daily BIZARRE check-ins
- In-app NFT auctions and mints with $BB and $BIZARRE tokens
- Exclusive rewards for Miniapp users and community members
- Token-gated content for $BB holders
- Miniapp-exclusive games
- BizarreBeasts original music streaming in-app
