The problem Bifrost Protocol solves

Web3 space has been evolving quite rapidly over past few years, But still there is significant friction for users to onboard and use the ecosystem to the fullest potential. The ecosystem is being diversified and breaking apart. Today we present you Bifrost protocol and the key problems it solves and the enormous value it provides to the ecosystem.

• Universal Interopability: Bifrost can be imagined as a interchain messeging layer but on steroids, A protocol which can seamlessly connect variety of blockchains together and share assets and context among chains. we have fully integration into BITCOIN COUPLE OF EVM CHAINS and POLKADOT ECOSYSTEM. this level of interoperability is possible by our tech Schnorr signatures, FROST threshold signature scheme based SMPC.

• TRUST FACTOR : Bifrost is truly Decentralsed k-of-n threshold network scalable to thousands of nodes, and TECH benchmarked by zcash, we are truly trustless and bringing most secured assets and context to chains from foreign space.

• Privacy Focused: Bifrost is built, with strong privacy principles in mind, at bifrost we have bought the first ever DARKPOOLS to defi. experince the perks of have private blind computations. At Bifrost we use sp1 based zk proofs such that user never has to expose any order details(sender, reciever, amount) to anyone all he needs to do it provide zkproofs generated by our prover (sp1 prover). proof includes proof of valid funding transaction inclusion in specified block and valid amount encryption with nullifier checks in place. So say good bye to MEV, identity theft, tracing, Front running and any sandwiching.

• Solving UX: being the best first ever darkpool based aggregation layer is not enough to tap into market and provide value. its about how friendly it is. we introduce you Natty AI where in a AI agent takes care of your entire cross chain journey, putting up orders exploring chains inspecting gas fee everything from just natural language.

Challenges I ran into

Even though we as a team have passion and clear Idea of dream product Bifrost, it was not easy putting all the things together. - building Solidity contracts,

• making schnorr signatures possible on evm.
• building bitcoin deposit channels.
• building smpc framework using Frost 2/3 threshold.
• building sp1 zk proofs for tx inclusion checks
• beautiful front-end design and AI integrations

It wasnt easy, and small thing to pull of. we had our own struggles dealing with distributed computing!

Apart from this basic chores of dealing with evm chains was also painful haha. diverse chains hence we had to deploy contracts, search for faucets get funded, deploy and verify contracts, had to deal with inconsistent rpc and websockets but yes finally we have built our dream protocol.

Its not about the challenges in the first places, we are happy about the value we are providing which makes us forget the challenges we faced.

Below is a simple demostration of the value we provide in a simple case study.

• Alice is web3 user who feel limited because of complex methods involded in maintaining her assets accross chains,
• she fears to use traditional bridges which are pretty much centralized and lacks decent security/privacy.
• she could use centralized exchange but again she faces limited asset exposure, centralization, KYC indentity leak no anonymity and high fees.
• she makes her mind and uses existing bridges but now her assets are often locked to hours of delay due to limitations in current architectures.
• Most of all she is a victim of order manipulation, front running and sandwich attacks for using bridges. hence she faces high slippage in her trades.
• and finally the complex interfaces confuse alice and put all her orders at risk of mis placement.

Bifrost solves this huge cluster of pain points, a Truly decentralized darkpool based aggregation layer which can complete orders under 10secs. with a impactful AI agent to take care of Alice throughout her entire web3.

Additional Features

Project Evolution and Development:

The Bifrost Protocol submitted to EthIndia represents a significant evolution from its earlier version (previously submitted to Based India). The project has grown to include new features such as:

Implementation of darkpool functionality for private trade execution
Development of SP1 circuit builds (completed during the hackathon)
Enhanced AI agent integration for trade assistance
End-to-end websocket integration
Extended chain integrations aligned with hackathon sponsors

Repository Management:

Regarding the GitHub repository commits: As a solo developer, I focused on intensive integration work during the hackathon, particularly on SP1 circuit builds which consumed approximately two days of development time.
The Based India project repositories were temporarily private as they served as the foundation for the enhanced EthIndia submission, and I was planning to migrate the codebase to the new XYTHUM-LABS organization on GitHub.
All repositories have now been made public for transparency and code review.

Project Rebranding:

The project was originally conceived under the name "Bifrost" and is being rebranded as "Xythum Labs" as part of its evolution into a full-time startup venture.
The whitepaper reflects this ongoing development, though its stated date was adjusted to December 1st to reflect project maturity.

Hackathon Contributions:
The EthIndia submission represents substantial new development work, particularly in:

Implementing darkpool features
Building SP1 circuits
Enhancing AI integration
Developing complete end-to-end websocket functionality
