The problem Bhumij solves

The demands of better quality and yield of crops and better standard of living for farmers can't be simply met by conventional methods. We need to inculcate advanced technology in an ordinary farmer's life. Most of the farmers are not very well aware because of which they are unable to opt for the best suited methods to increase their production. Many of them are unaware of the government schemes that has been started for farmers like them only. This website will be a one stop solution for such farmers. They can join communities with farmers in the same locality by simply logging in to the web page or form their own community to share their knowledge. They can access chatroom after joining a community and discuss their queries and find solutions to them. This chatroom would allow them to have conversations in their native language including voice messaging feature to get maximum participation from all communities of farmers. We have added resources which would include the links and blogs related to new schemes and subsidies provided by the government. This would help farmers to grow!

Challenges we ran into

Being new to web development, our major challenge was to handle the datasets of different communities and adding a chatroom, for this we tried using firebase and php. Moreover, we’ll try to make our project better in future to meet the needs of our farmers.
