Challenges I ran into
Initially, I used indicators such as GDP, exchange rates, and bonds, but reliable data APIs were too expensive. I then switched to World Bank data, which came with challenges of consistency, completeness, and update frequency—sometimes quarterly, sometimes monthly.
Solution:
Built a data validation & caching layer, added more relevant indicators, and focused on emerging markets where data is more complete and consistent.
