BETBUD enables user-driven betting by letting communities create markets on any idea, unlike rigid traditional platforms. It cuts intermediaries, reduces fees, and fosters social engagement. Creators benefit from the largest revenue share, incentivizing participation, and gain freedom with tools to unleash their creativity, designing unique markets that drive platform growth.

Challenges I ran into

BETBUD’s open market system allows bets on any idea, making outcome verification difficult for subjective or niche bets (e.g., “Will my friend finish a marathon?”). Traditional settlement methods relying on objective data feeds were inadequate, risking disputes and distrust.

Solution: Developed an incentive-based, voting-driven settlement system with escrow-like mechanics. Community members vote on outcomes, with votes weighted by reputation earned through positive actions (e.g., fair market creation, honest voting). Funds are held in escrow until consensus is reached, ensuring impartiality. Incentives like token rewards for accurate voting promote integrity.

How Overcome: Leveraged smart contracts for secure escrow and transparent voting, drawing from decentralized dispute resolution models. Extensive testing with simulated markets refined the reputation and incentive structure, ensuring scalability and trust.
