The problem B-Chain solves

Our decentralized blood donation platform provides a transparent, secure, and efficient solution to bridge the critical gap in blood donation systems. Here's how it helps:

Empowering Donors: The platform incentivizes voluntary blood donation by rewarding donors with tokens that can be redeemed for healthcare discounts or other benefits.

Awareness Campaigns: Smart awareness campaigns attract more donors by leveraging gamification and digital rewards, addressing the lack of education and motivation in traditional systems.

Transparency and Trust: Blockchain integration ensures immutable, tamper-proof records of donations and transactions, building trust among donors and organizations.

Efficiency for Blood Banks: Blood banks can create targeted campaigns, receive cryptocurrency donations, and track operations transparently, ensuring funds are used effectively.

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges we faced was integrating the backend (smart contracts) with the frontend. Managing seamless communication between the smart contracts deployed on the blockchain and the user interface was complex, especially without using third-party libraries like ethers.js.

To overcome this, we utilized Remix IDE, which allowed us to test, deploy, and interact with the smart contracts directly. By leveraging Remix’s built-in features, we were able to debug and execute smart contract functions effectively. This approach simplified integration and ensured that the frontend correctly communicated with the deployed contracts, resulting in a smooth and functional platform.
