Challenges I ran into

1. Stripe Connect Express not supported in India
Ran into a hard blocker: Stripe Connect Express isn't available for
Indian accounts, which meant I couldn't complete the payment onboarding
to go live. Rather than drop the payment flow entirely, I built a
fully functional mock checkout that mirrors the real Stripe UI —
card fields, processing state, SSL badge — so judges can experience
the complete user journey end-to-end.

Hey judges — if there's a workaround for India-based Stripe onboarding,
I'd love to know! Happy to go live immediately. For now, the demo mode
shows the full intended flow faithfully.

2. CORS & real-time page fetching in the browser
Fetching arbitrary user URLs client-side hits CORS walls immediately.
Routed through a proxy with a 9-second abort timeout and a graceful fallback to estimated data — so the product never shows a blank screen regardless of the target site's headers.

3. Meaningful scoring without a backend
Building an SEO score that feels trustworthy using only DOM parsing (no Lighthouse, no PageSpeed API) required a weighted model across known ranking signals — title length, H1 structure, HTTPS, alt text coverage, word count — calibrated so scores correlate with real patterns.

4. Demo UX that doesn't feel fake
Used Promise.all to race the terminal animation against the live fetch so the loading screen always feels purposeful. The report appears the moment both are ready — never padded, never blocking.
