Why are you participating for Based India?

Because base is for everyone so it better get to everyone and solve real consumer problems. I'm participating in Based India because I'm from India and I've seen so many education gaps and how schools are so linear and never upgrade to what actually is needed ahead. Base’s mission is to increase innovation, creativity, and freedom and that's what my vision is towards building products that help achieve the goal and increase adoption.

What challenges are you focusing on?

There's a curiousity mindset of people in India but many are lost because they're unable to find the right path for them to grow and I feel onchain economy can open so many doors for them so it's important for them to understand how this works. We're building tools that provide easier, simpler and gamified access to the onchain economy and unlocking the access to social and educational resources making them feel connected with the people like them

How does your submission address this challenge?

Basics is a gamified learn to earn platform on Base that addresses onchain education challenges through:

Interactive Learning: Users explore "surf spots" (modules) with real onchain interactions, not just text-based learning.
Reward System: Learners earn SHELLS tokens for completing activities, creating immediate value and motivation.
Gamification: Digital Surfboards track progress and unlock rewards, fostering a "just one more wave" engagement.
Ecosystem Integration: SHELLS can be used within the Base ecosystem, bridging learning with real-world application.
Community Features: Marketplace, leaderboards, and shareable profiles create a social learning environment.
Ecosystem Discovery: Interactive map helps users navigate and utilize various products on Base.

The potential impact would be increased engagement and retention in the onchain economy and empowerment of individuals, especially in emerging markets, with new economic opportunities

Challenges I ran into

Challenges I ran into:

1. Figured out my way through building on Coinbase Developer Platform Paymaster and Smart wallets integration with a Solidity contract deployed on Base. There were some technical errors I faced using different providers in Privy but Privy community help team is so amazing and helpful
2. Figuring out the content structure and design. This took a lot of thinking and brainstorming
3. Figuring out the new features and making things even more seamless for users to navigate
4. The gamification part, actually thinking on the theme, the shells, surfboards, knowledge score and how they all connect
5. User acquisition - made some plans for it

Additional Features

Yes, Basics started like more than a month ago and it took a lot of time to think on things that we wanna do.
During the Buildathon, we enhanced Basics with the following new features and thought process:

1. Previously it was like just another learn to earn platform that makes you points and earns you nft badges after completion but you really get nothing out of it. The new vision was to gamify it so well that it makes it fun to be here so we discovered a concept of Surfboards which are more than just collectibles; they’re tools that track your learning activities and let you earn tokens and rewards based on your levels.
