Why are you participating for Based Africa?

Our participation in Based Africa is driven by our passion for fostering innovation and empowering the African blockchain community. We believe that Base offers a scalable and cost-effective platform for building decentralized applications, and we want to contribute to the growth of the African blockchain ecosystem by introducing web3 gaming to a wider audience.

What challenges are you focusing on?

We are addressing the challenge of onboarding new users to the world of web3 gaming. By creating a simple and accessible game like Tic-Tac-Toe, we aim to:

Lower the barrier to entry: Make it easier for people to experience the benefits of web3 gaming.
Educate users: Teach users about the basics of blockchain technology and smart contracts.
Foster community: Create a fun and engaging community around web3 gaming.

How does your submission address this challenge?

TicTacToeBase is a decentralized Tic-Tac-Toe game built on the Base network. Players can create and join games, make moves, and earn rewards. Our project offers a simple and intuitive interface, making it easy for users to learn and play.

The potential impact of our project is significant. By providing a fun and engaging way for users to experience web3 gaming, we can:

Increase adoption: Attract more users to the Base network and the broader web3 ecosystem.
Promote education: Educate users about the benefits of blockchain technology and smart contracts.

Challenges I ran into

Smart contract development: Developing a secure and efficient smart contract for the game was challenging. We overcame this by carefully designing the game logic and using best practices for smart contract development.
User interface design: Creating a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate and understand was a challenge. We focus on doing something cool and easily navigate for our design.

Additional Features

This project was build from scratch purposely for this buildathon. Leaderboards: Track player rankings and achievements.
Social features: Allow players to connect with friends and chat with other players.
Customizable game settings: Let players choose different game modes and difficulty levels.t
