Challenges I ran into
While building BaseLint AI, one of the biggest challenges was ensuring the AI-generated smart contracts were not only functional but also secure and standards-compliant. Initially, the contracts generated by the model had small issues — missing access modifiers, unsafe patterns, or didn’t follow best practices like those from OpenZeppelin. To fix this, I had to iteratively improve the AI prompts and add a second layer that automatically linted and corrected issues before showing results to the user.
I also faced issues while implementing one-click deployments to the Base network. Handling wallet connections, chain switching, and ensuring a smooth UX—especially for users new to deploying smart contracts—was tricky. To overcome this, I used Wagmi and RainbowKit for a seamless wallet experience and wrote a helper layer to validate contracts and simulate deployments before pushing them on-chain.
Finally, one of the more subtle but frustrating challenges was dealing with minor syntax or logical errors in the AI-generated code. Rather than asking users to debug it themselves, I built a feedback loop where the error messages were fed back into the AI to suggest auto-corrections. This made the platform feel more intelligent and user-friendly.
Smart Contract Address(es)
BaseLint AI does not rely on its own smart contracts. Instead, it enables users to generate, audit, and deploy their own custom smart contracts securely through the platform.
Users can deploy contracts directly to the Base network using the platform's built-in deployment tools. As a result, contract addresses vary depending on user interaction and are not tied to the platform itself.
Other Onchain Proof
While BaseLint AI doesn't generate its own onchain contracts, it empowers users to deploy audited, corrected contracts directly to the Base chain via our platform. We're currently integrating wallet analytics and deployment tracking to generate onchain proofs of user deployments through our interface. This will help us showcase traction through contract creation logs, audit history, and deployment volume tied to BaseLint usage.
