Challenges I ran into

Building BaseForge as a solo developer came with both exciting opportunities and real challenges. The biggest hurdle was the sheer scope of the project, creating a full-featured RPG with blockchain integration on my own demanded more time, energy, and support than I initially anticipated. Balancing smart contract development, game design, and artwork without a team meant I had to switch contexts and learn new tools quickly and constantly.

Another challenge was integrating Web3 mechanics, such as wallet connections and NFT minting, into a traditional RPG flow without breaking immersion. Debugging smart contract interactions and ensuring smooth gameplay required extra effort and testing.

I overcame these hurdles by carefully prioritizing core features, breaking down complex tasks into smaller milestones, and relying on community resources and documentation. While there is still room to grow, overcoming these challenges has strengthened and made the project more resilient. With sufficient resources and time, I plan to continue developing BaseForge and bring it to its full potential as a unique and rewarding onchain RPG experience.
