The problem BasedFriends solves
Blockchains are inherently multiplayer canvases of transactions, however, modern day UX doesn’t reflect this reality as it's hard to know when your friends are onchain. BasedFriends solves this by showing you who you care about most and their status.
Challenges we ran into
Initially we tried using Neynar for Farcaster data and Dune for Base data. While we like these tools, this method proved to be intensive and infeasible for what we were trying to do. When we switched to using Airstack, our development flow started moving much faster and smoother.
