Helping you stay BASED this ONCHAIN SUMMER - Ask @BasedIndexer any question about the BASE ecosystem by simply tagging it in your casts!
The problem Based Indexer: a Farcaster-native agent for Base. solves
Finding the signal in the noise of social media has always been difficult. Platforms are cluttered with spam, ads, and irrelevant content, making it challenging to discover valuable insights and relevant knowledge. Not to mention, you might miss a lot of content when you’re offline, or the answer you’re looking for is deeply hidden in a documentation page outside of Farcaster. @BasedIndexer is an easy-to-use AI agent that streamlines your social media experience, making it more efficient, engaging, and rewarding. When you tag @BasedIndexer in your casts, the AI agent analyzes the content of other casts on Farcaster along with Base’s official documentation and provides you with relevant information, enabling you to answer niche queries and connect with like-minded individuals who share your interests.
Challenges we ran into
Prompt engineering and tailored AI workflows are at the core of @BasedIndexer, helping us understand the intention of user casts such that we can extract key insights and provide quality responses. We’ve spent many days iterating and improving on the implementation to handle unforeseen situations like: vague questions, detecting mentions vs questions, and filtering spam. Also there is a need to have the best quality accounts and channels to be used as a data source, so to cut through the noise we went with a manual process of approving or rejecting every data source, curating the channels and accounts for relevancy.
