Our motivation for participating in Based India is rooted in the vision of creating decentralized financial tools that resonate with the needs of the region. India has a large population of unbanked and underbanked individuals who are underserved by traditional financial systems. With the Base network's low transaction costs and scalable blockchain infrastructure, we believe we can create a solution that brings financial inclusion to communities in need.
Moreover, India's dynamic and fast-growing technology landscape makes it an ideal region for testing innovative solutions like decentralized finance (DeFi). By participating in Based India, we aim to contribute to the country’s growing blockchain ecosystem and provide practical, accessible solutions that can be used by everyday people.

BaseConnect is designed as a decentralized platform that allows users to easily check balances, transfer funds, and interact with smart contracts, all without the need for a traditional bank. By operating on the Base network, which offers low-cost transactions, our platform minimizes the barriers to entry for those who cannot afford traditional banking fees.

Throughout the development of BaseConnect, we faced multiple technical and non-technical challenges.
One key technical hurdle was integrating the platform with the Base network while ensuring smooth user experience with minimal latency in transactions. We addressed this by optimizing smart contract interactions and refining the UX to minimize load times.
On the non-technical side, explaining blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) to users unfamiliar with these concepts was challenging. We overcame this by building simple, easy-to-follow educational resources that guide users step-by-step through the process of using BaseConnect.
