The problem BaseBond solves
BaseBond bridges the gap between traditional events and Web3 by eliminating ticket scalping through verifiable NFTs and turning temporary attendance into lasting community loyalty via POAPs and IDRX rewards. By integrating Coinbase Smart Wallet and OnchainKit, i remove the friction of seed phrases and hex addresses, offering a seamless, secure, and human-readable experience that empowers organizers to build genuine onchain economies without alienating non-crypto users.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge was building an “invisible Web3” experience on top of a fully decentralized EventFactory setup. Since every event spins up its own smart contract for security reasons, pulling data together without relying on a centralized indexer was tricky.
I solved this by creating a frontend orchestration layer in Next.js 15 that handles multiple contract reads at once and uses optimistic UI updates. This helps bridge the gap between blockchain’s asynchronous nature and the instant responsiveness users expect. As a result, even complex flows like resolving Basenames with OnchainKit or executing smart wallet transactions feel smooth, fast, and seamless.
