Why are you participating for Based Africa?

Cause base is for everyone, I and my team are participating to build a secure, transparent, and decentralized voting platform that solves issues like voter fraud and limited access, while leveraging the Base blockchain to advance digital governance and foster trust in democratic processes.

What challenges are you focusing on?

DeVote is here to address lack of transparency issues in my local community, whenever we go out to vote it's either the election gets rigged or fraudulent activities happen and at the end of the day we can't say the truth about the actual number of votes that was made.

How does your submission address this challenge?

With DeVote every voting transaction that is signed will be available on base scan and a real time vote count and history will be provided on the platform. This way voters can see whats really going on from anywhere improving the transparency.

Challenges we ran into

Accessing paid version of the id verification platform so we had to work with test ID, which can be any value for now
