Digital games only feel like ownership. Buy a title on a storefront today and you get a license, not an asset. You cannot lend it, resell it, or cash out after you finish the story.
Creators are paid once, then watch the aftermarket boom without them. Physical resale chains like GameStop keep the upside. Digital stores simply ban resale and keep everything.
AI NFTs sound cool but ship as expensive toys. Most projects lock the tech behind paywalls and one‑time drops that never evolve.
Indie devs burn budgets on marketing blasts. Fun does not decide who wins. Ad spend does.
How Bario fixes it
True ownership with built‑in resale. Every game ships as a cartridge NFT. Play it, list it, cash out. Each flip auto‑routes royalties back to the dev and to Bario. No middlemen. No lost upside.
Universal arcade coin. One token, $BARIO, powers cartridge mints, tournament pots, and AI upgrades. Newcomers see a single price, not a gas calculator.
Invisible onchain, familiar UX. Buying a game feels like tapping “Get” on an app store.
Player‑powered AI and co‑ownership. Anyone can spin up an agentic NFT, crowd‑fund its upgrades, and share whatever revenue it earns.
Fun‑first growth loop. Snack‑size titles launch fast. Real playtime and retention, not ad budgets, decide what scales.
The result: a normal path from “I want to play” to “I own, earn, and build” that finally lets games, devs, and players share the upside together.

Building Bario Entertainment System started as a pure solo mission. No funding, no pre-mines, no launch partners. Just a commitment to ship, no matter what.
Here are some of the major challenges I faced and overcame:
Building From Scratch Alone
I designed, developed, and launched every part of Bario by myself. Games, NFT collections, smart contracts, the full web3 stack. There was no dev team or outside agency involved at the beginning. It became my full-time job. I had to focus completely, plan carefully, test everything again and again, and keep pushing until every piece was in place.
Launching With Zero Funding
Bario was a true fair launch. No pre-sale, no investors, no grants. Scaling a gaming ecosystem from zero without financial backing forced me to be resourceful and relentless.
Delivering a Full Game Library
Today, Bario Entertainment System hosts 13 games. I developed many of them myself, licensed some from indie creators, and forked others from open-source projects. Each one was adapted for onchain mechanics like tokenized ownership and skill-based competition.
Expanding Beyond Gaming
I launched two NFT collections and integrated them deeply into platform functionality. I built a merch store from scratch and designed every physical product personally.
I developed BariOS to work seamlessly across web, mobile, and even hardware like the Ethereum dGEN1 phone, where it comes pre-installed.
Pioneering New Concepts
Under the Bario umbrella, I launched Cartridge.so as an onchain game studio and Maschine.so as an infrastructure layer for co-owned agentic NFTs.
I also created Paperboy, the world’s first fully co-owned, voice-interactive agentic NFT, giving players a new way to interact with the gaming world through AI.
Forming a Contribution-Driven Team
As the ecosystem grew, a team started to form. People I had never met before joined through their belief in the project, and started contributing.
Today, these contributors help with marketing, business development, and community growth. Technical development, infrastructure, and core product work still remain fully on my side.
Scaling Without Institutional Support
Bario grew from grassroots origins into one of the most active and recognizable projects on Base, long before any official acknowledgment or ecosystem support.
The biggest ongoing challenge is balancing creativity, shipping velocity, and scaling, while staying true to the independent spirit that built Bario in the first place.
The solution has been the same since day one: Keep building. Stay real. Trust the work.
