Balance Viewer
A simple and intuitive service to check wallet balances on the Base blockchain
Why are you participating for Based SEA?
I am passionate about blockchain technology and its potential to create more inclusive financial systems, especially in the SEA region. By participating in Based SEA, I hope to leverage Base blockchain to provide users with easy access to blockchain data, empowering communities to embrace decentralized finance and blockchain adoption in the region.
What challenges are you focusing on?
Many users in the SEA region lack the technical knowledge or tools to easily access blockchain information, such as checking their wallet balances. This creates a barrier to entry into decentralized finance and other blockchain applications. Additionally, there are concerns about security, transparency, and ease of use when interacting with blockchain platforms.
How does your submission address this challenge?
My project, Base Wallet Balance Viewer, simplifies the process of accessing wallet information by providing users with a user-friendly tool that allows them to check their wallet balances on the Base blockchain. The service is designed to be easy to use, secure, and accessible, with a focus on helping people in the SEA region engage with blockchain technology without needing deep technical knowledge.
Challenges we ran into
One of the major challenges was ensuring seamless integration with Base blockchain’s RPC endpoints. I also faced challenges in optimizing the service for low-latency response times, as well as in designing a simple and intuitive user interface that can cater to a non-technical audience. Additionally, I had to ensure that the service handles errors gracefully, especially when dealing with incorrect wallet addresses or network issues.
Additional Features
During the buildathon, I focused on enhancing the user experience by adding a web-based interface and improving the error handling mechanisms. I also added real-time updates for users, allowing them to see the latest wallet balances without needing to refresh the page.
Cheer Project
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
