One of the main hurdles was the unpredictable behavior of Cosmos — at times it would cause performance bottlenecks or inconsistent results. To overcome this, we introduced Stagehand as a fallback mechanism, which seamlessly took over whenever Cosmos struggled, ensuring the system remained stable. Going forward, we realized the best option is to include both tools in the workflow to leverage their strengths.

Additionally, the lack of official Swiggy and Zomato APIs posed a significant challenge. Since these APIs weren’t publicly available, we built simulated versions and focused on exploring automation techniques and browser intelligence. If we establish a formal partnership with these platforms in the future, we can easily replace the simulated layer with their official APIs for a fully production-ready solution.
