The problem AutoBuddy solves

The current landscape of personal safety solutions often requires active user interaction for implementation and use cases. This reliance on manual input can be limiting and may not adequately address situations that require immediate and autonomous responses. Instances such as walking alone at night, accidents, medical emergencies, harassment, and unfamiliar environments demand a more seamless and proactive approach.Our solution distinguishes itself by offering a hands-free and autonomous system, providing users with a comprehensive safety net while still offering manual options for diverse situations. This innovation marks a significant advancement in personal safety technology.

Challenges we ran into

To establish a connection and send the live location details of the user, we tried to use TON for messaging as the implementation of blockchain makes it more secure and could be useful for preserving sensitive information and clues about the incident. As we moved forward with this idea in mind we realise that while it is secure it is not feasible for a public use as it requires gas and fee for every transfer.

As threat detection using voice recognition using speech to text, it became quite a challenge to support the multilingual and diverese community of our country. Here, NLP was not a solution as it only recognizes english language, so in order to tackle this challenge we had to develop a whole new dataset consisting of specific words or phrases one might use in distress situations in their native language.
