Why are you participating for Based India?

I’m participating in Based India because I see it as an opportunity to bring our project attn.bio to life in a way that can create meaningful connections between people. attn.bio enables users to send a message to notable individuals with a monetary commitment, providing a platform for valuable interactions that wouldn’t otherwise be accessible. This hackathon is an ideal space to explore innovative solutions, collaborate with brilliant minds, and receive feedback on how to further refine the project, while contributing to the broader community with a product that promotes engagement and value exchange

What challenges are you focusing on?

We’re focusing on the challenge of enabling meaningful communication between individuals and notable figures who are often inaccessible. In today’s world, reaching out to someone influential can be daunting and often ignored. attn.bio aims to solve this by creating a platform where users can attach a monetary commitment to their message, incentivizing a response and adding value to both sides

With the help of Base, we’re addressing the challenge of creating more equitable access to valuable conversations and connections. Many people struggle to have their voices heard or access opportunities that could help them grow. attn.bio tackles this issue by empowering users with a mechanism to reach out to key individuals, while those receiving the messages can benefit financially or donate to causes they support. This creates a more balanced and rewarding exchange of ideas in the community.”

How does your submission address this challenge?

Our submission, attn.bio, directly addresses the challenge by creating a platform where users can send messages to notable individuals, accompanied by a monetary commitment stored in a smart contract. This financial incentive encourages a response, bridging the gap between people who seek valuable conversations and those who are often difficult to reach. By utilizing blockchain technology, the process is transparent, secure, and efficient, ensuring that both parties benefit from the exchange. Additionally, attn.bio fosters meaningful connections, where the funds can be directed towards personal causes or charitable donations, further enhancing the impact of each interaction

Challenges we ran into

One of the key hurdles we encountered was dealing with Twitter API rate limits, which restrict us to interacting with only 3 users per 15 minutes. This limitation posed a significant challenge in scaling our platform for real-time messaging and interactions with multiple notable individuals.
