Farming is often challenged by unpredictable weather, inefficient irrigation, poor soil health awareness, and overuse of fertilizers. These issues lead to lower yields, wasted resources, and financial losses for farmers.

AstroCrop helps solve these problems by:

🌱 Soil Awareness – Farmers can easily understand soil health (pH, nutrients, moisture) without needing lab expertise.

🌦 Weather & Irrigation Guidance – Provides real-time weather insights and water usage patterns to prevent over- or under-irrigation.

🤖 AI Predictions – Suggests the best crop choices, fertilizer schedules, and expected yield for smarter decision-making.

📑 Downloadable Reports – Generates clear, easy-to-read PDF reports so farmers can keep records and share with advisors.

AstroCrop makes farming simpler, safer, and more productive by combining data, AI, and user-friendly design.

Challenges we ran into

⚡ Challenges I Ran Into

Building AstroCrop wasn’t without hurdles. Some key challenges were:

🐛 Data Integration Issues – Collecting and cleaning soil and weather datasets was tricky. We solved this by using reliable APIs and preprocessing techniques.

🔗 Frontend–Backend Communication – Syncing real-time weather data with the prediction models caused delays. Fixed it by optimizing API calls and caching responses.

🎨 Farmer-Friendly UI – Designing a simple, multilingual interface was a challenge. We tested multiple layouts and used icons/visuals for easier understanding.

📄 PDF Generation – Exporting dynamic data (charts, recommendations, soil reports) into PDFs was initially buggy. We resolved it with libraries that handle structured layouts.

Each challenge taught us valuable lessons and made AstroCrop more robust and reliable.
