The problem ASL Detection solves
The main goal of this project is to provide a medium of communication between disabled people who use sign language to communicate & people who won't understand sign language.
This project aims to reduce the gap between communication of two people using different mediums to share thoughts with each other
Challenges we ran into
Improving the model accuracy was the number one priority from our side, also we made sure that the ML model is integrated with our android app efficiently and it does not increase tht size of the app to large extent. The accuracy of the model on Real time still needs to be improved but the accuracy on a image selected from file is improved by a significant margin.
