The problem ASKMATES solves

When was the last time you got stuck in the problem and couldn’t figure out the solution, or had a question which can only be answered by a certain group of people but had no way to ask them?
We all have got stuck in such situations. If only there was a website where we can go and ask all those questions. We had the same idea too and decided to implement it for our University Campus. In this project, we created a Web application where students of the same university can come and ask any question, academic or not, and all the other students can choose to answer them.
Many University students find themselves in situations when they need to ask a question or solution to a problem but cannot find someone with the solution.
To solve this problem, we can create an online platform where students from the same university can come and ask questions and anyone on the platform can answer them.

We named our application “AskMates”.
This application is aimed to provide a platform for college students to ask questions, have conversations and discuss doubts.

Challenges I ran into

Future Scope
• Constraints on user for voting of answers (to be allowed only once for an answer).
• Searching Functionality can be improved (instead of processing it on server-side, it can be done on client-side).
• Handling tags in left side pane according to their counts.
• Facility of commenting (nested) can be introduced for answers.
