Ask.io is a gamified learning platform that enhances knowledge retention through personalized and interactive experiences. By integrating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology with quizzes, flashcards, and spaced repetition, it offers an engaging and effective learning journey.It employs the Llama model to generate context-aware, accurate answers to users' queries based on the custom data made of a knowledge base by verified sources. Gamified elements, such as points, badges, and leaderboards, motivate learners through competition and rewards.Ask.io features both admin-led and self-paced learning spaces.Admins can manage content, organize group sessions, and monitor user progress, while learners enjoy personalized quizzes, flashcards, and performance analytics.
Detailed insights help both users and admins identify areas of improvement and track learning progress.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Implementing the RAG using MongoDB Atlas was quite tough as it was one of our first integration with a webapp, looked over a few guides to do proper indexing methods and genereating responses.
    2)Running Flask and Express servers simultaneously on the same React app, we tried to put both of them up but it wasn't viable for us so we had to run them on localhost.
    3)Vercel had some issue hosting out webapp, despite having the domain we weren't able to host the website.
