Art-@-base, bringing the artistic leaders of tomorrow on chain
Why are you participating for Based Africa?
There are a lot of children out there in the street of different countries here in Africa with a lot of creativity but no means of showcasing it, our aim to get them on chain with Base, digitalize their artworks and help them sell it as digitalize art. This way we're helping them secure a brighter future with Base
What challenges are you focusing on?
We're helping the kids get their skills being showcased with Base, therefore securing a good future for them already, this way we're helping them not see the fraud most Nigerian youths are into as a way to have a good standard of living.
How does your submission address this challenge?
We brought together children we noticed love making arts and told them how base can help them sell their artworks as nfts. We helped them to digitalize their drawings and uploaded it for them to see how far their artworks would go. WE'RE BRINGING OUR LEADERS ON TOMORROW ON CHAIN. Even after the hackathon we're still not stopping because we know we still have a lot of kids to reach out to
Challenges we ran into
As a team, we definitely ran into a bunch of hurdles, from low turnouts during meetings to us being at loggerheads when it came to choosing a project and the title and even how to go about it.
We even ran out of funds to get some materials we needed and the recourses wasn't readily available to work round the clock, only one teammate had a functioning laptop and we had low end devices making it hard to engage much on social media and vectorization process was slow, we didn't have a good phone camera to make videos of us and the kids thoigh we later got someone to lend use his phone, which made it possible to quickly make a video with the kids. With our resilient spirit we were able to get through, we also raised some funds from our guardians and well-wisher.
Resources were made available by our host, Bernard.
Thank so much, Base!!!.
