The problem ARIOT solves

ARIOT: Experience Home Automation like never before with AR and IoT

People can use the combination of Augmented Reality (AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance their home automation experience in numerous ways:

  1. Intuitive Control: AR and IoT integration enables users to control their smart home devices through intuitive gestures and virtual interfaces. With AR glasses or a smartphone, users can simply point at a device or interact with virtual buttons to control lights, thermostats, security systems, entertainment systems, and more. This simplifies the process of managing and operating various devices, making it more accessible and user-friendly.

  2. Seamless Integration: AR and IoT can seamlessly integrate various devices and systems within a smart home ecosystem. Users can visualize and manage the interconnected devices through AR overlays, allowing them to easily monitor and control multiple devices simultaneously. For example, AR can display real-time information about energy consumption, home security status, and environmental conditions, giving users a holistic view of their home automation systems.

  3. Enhanced Personalization: AR and IoT enable users to personalize their smart home experience according to their preferences and needs. By leveraging AR interfaces, users can create custom virtual control panels that suit their unique requirements. For instance, they can design a control panel with specific buttons, sliders, and information displays to streamline their daily routines or automate certain tasks.

  4. Remote Monitoring and Management: With AR and IoT, users can remotely monitor and manage their smart home devices from anywhere. AR overlays can provide real-time data and notifications about device status, energy consumption, and security alerts. This allows users to address issues promptly, adjust settings, and ensure the smooth operation of their home automation systems even when they are away.

Challenges I ran into

In the hardware we faced issues with connections.
Connecting wifi with blynk over the net was quite challenging.
Another issue we faced was integrating AR model with Android apps
