ARiff makes guitar learning easy and immersive by using Augmented Reality to overlay chords and finger positions on a virtual fretboard. It eliminates the need for charts or constant video tutorials, guiding users in real-time. With AI-powered feedback, learners get instant insights on accuracy and technique. Affordable and accessible, It helps beginners and hobbyists master songs faster, making music education engaging and available to everyone.
Challenges we ran into
As first-time AR developers, we faced challenges in implementing augmented reality features, especially in marker detection and 3D overlay stability. However, these obstacles became valuable learning experiences. We explored and made a number of various AR models before getting it right. We gained hands-on experience with libraries like AR.js and Aruco.js, OpenCV, which deepened our understanding of AR technology and improved our problem-solving skills in real-time application development.
