The problem Apply By AI solves

We present a recruitment tool which provides a unique solution to the manual recruitment process. We help employers to screen through thousands of resumes and check if the applicant meets the requirements, following which, we have provided a chatbot that interviews the applicants and uses AI to assess their personality and qualities even further, thus, bringing an objective and diverse approach to a previously subjective recruitment process. We also recognize the need for organizations to make data-backed hiring decisions and limit biases, so our system scores the job seekers on the basis of their qualifications as well personality traits and ranks them in the descending order of their hireability to ease the recruiting tasks of the companies.

In the post-lockdown world, hiring and job hunting will need considerable changes. With companies laying off employees, more and more people are in need for jobs that they deserve and one that meets their requirements.
On the other hand, it’s also true that e-tailers are hiring more employees since their products are now in more demand and with businesses forced to go online, there will be a spike in hiring of appropriate talent.
But recruiting in this unprecedented situation will have its downfalls like timelines on when hiring managers will revert could be severely impacted as their priority will be to deal with an evolving situation and help their employees adjust to it.
And tackling so many in-person interviews, and catering to so many applicants will be a massive undertaking. Our solution helps tackle this very problem.

Challenges we ran into

Challenge: For every job posting, there are certain required skills that help us screen applications. But there are so many candidates that possess the requirements. It doesn't reduce the applicant pool to the needed degree and we wanted to drastically ease the recruiting task.
Solution: We thought that a candidate's skills and qualifications shouldn't be the only factors that are desirable for a job, but also their personality. We made use of the Big 5 personality test (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extroversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism) These attributes helps us understand their personality, needs, guage how they will connect with their peers, and optimize our screening by getting an idea of their behavior.
So for this purpose we designed a chatbot that would conduct an HR interview with the candidates and get their personality scores. Their matched skills along with their personality scores will help us screen the candidates even further.
The answers given by the candidates will be shown to the recruiters for them to see, if they would like to analyse it further.
