Primary Track - Let's Stay Safe
In this era of ever-growing technology, we are witnessing a rise in cyberbullying activities. The main goal of our hack is to solve the cyber-bullying issue by providing assistance to victims as well as monitor sources with a bad/good reputation in such activities.
Our main focus was to create one user-friendly interface for which I used HTML, CSS and JS to make the entire UI/UX so that user can come to our website and can easily navigate to different webpages.
The live chat environment will provide instant relief where users can get authenticated through Google OAuth and talk to the help desk for personalised assistance.
Also, After a complaint is submitted from the user's end, the admins can access the Admin Login, which leads into the Admin Console, where personal assistance can be provided. Depending on that, the complaint will be marked resolved or unresolved.
There were many hurdles, but one of the challenging hurdles was a small typo which nearly took 3 hours of debugging. While exporting a module at the end of the js file, we made a typo of “model” instead of “module”. The error thrown by the node was gibberish. And it created a lot of pressure. However, we managed to scan every file for potential error and found this small typo. Also, the time constraint was a big challenge.
Soon, we will update and add more features like an anonymous blog, which will behave as a community where users can share their incidents anonymously, and other users can try to help.
