The problem Anonymous crime reporting & crime pattern analysis solves

There was a need for an application that stores previous criminal records and analyzes them to find patterns of crime happening, also there isn't a proper system where if a person files a complaint, it immediately reaches all police stations which lessens the chances of a criminal to escape.
So keeping all these things in mind & to maintain the safety of the people we built a centralized system. Our interface will be linked to a single database in which police stations can register & store valid complaints along with details, evidence, etc.
All police stations will be linked to this common database where they can access the complaints / lost found product details immediately from all over the country.
Our interface will also have a subdomain that would work against cybercrime. Its purpose is to decrease the rate of cyber crimes, harassment, and threats. This system will have a proper form where users will enter all details and evidence about the crime but they would not have to enter their name and number. The valid complaint will go for investigation by the cyber branch. In this way, this would prevent the personal details to get leaked or get misused and also catch the victim.
Our website can also be translated into one's native language for easy access/understanding.

Challenges we ran into

-The biggest challenge we faced was linking police stations all over the country through a single database.

  • Another big challenge was to create an analytical database to analyze the crime patterns (Tools, platforms used)
  • Next challenge was to investigate the criminal just on the basis of the victim's description without even revealing the victim's personal identity.
