Changing India Together!

The problem ANNAPURNA solves

Currently, about 189.6 million people in India go to bed without two square meals a day. We plan to tackle this by creating a portal where people can book slots for party halls and banquets.

We plan to minimise food wastage and connect those in need.
Our app works on the concept of bringing those who require food to the institutions that are willing to give it. We have used the concepts of Web3, polygon, Moralis, Metamask wallet, MongoDB to implement the backbone and the backend of the project.

To do this, we would require support from Local NGOs, to help the people get added to the platform and to assist them in getting tokens and tickets. These tickets are presented as NFTs which are minted for the user and can be used for verification.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Ideation was a major challenge as we had to come up with an idea that would utilise our interested technology to benefit the world as that is our main goal with a hackathon. We came up with the idea of Annapurna as giving the maximum good in the universe along with it.

  2. Designing a site which reflects our styles and ideology along with our vision for the entire product was something which was a bit tricky to tackle as we wanted to create elegant yet simple designs for the day to day user.

  3. The world of Web3 is very challenging to grasp let alone master, even for experienced developers. The documentation is varied and scattered and sources of help are fewer and far between. This was one of the biggest challenges to overcome on our road to success

  4. Just like Web3, technologies like blockchain and IPFS also posed their fair share of challenges as unlike Web2 projects, there is no direct and easy way to run and test your applications.

  5. Optimising and cleaning up the backend was also a major challenge we faced during our hackathon.
