The problem AnnaHasta solves
Our app helps people having excess food after an event like marriages,religious and social feasts to put the leftover food to good use rather than just throwing it away.They can put up a listing in our app.Then the NGO's in the locality will be alerted by a notification.Interested NGO's can then go through the details from our app and proceed if wanted.Then they can go and collect the food from the mentioned location and distribute it to those people in need. Our app eases the work for NGO's and public welfare organisations while also providing a easy to use option for the common people to contribute to the welfare of the society.This App can decrease the wastage of food while additionally filling the void stomachs of millions of people who are not equipped for getting even a day's supper.It also upholds the sustainable development goals like No Poverty,Zero Hunger,Responsible Consumption and Good healthcare and wellbeing.
Challenges we ran into
Food Safety & Security : The quality of the contributed food is a really important factor to consider.So inorder to prevent spoiled and low quality food we can also verify the FSSAI number of the contributor while they registers in our app.
This along with otp verification can prevent the amount of fake accounts made thus increasing the security of our app.
Stable Revenue : Initial Investments can be procurred from Funds from either Govt Grant Schema,Gofundme.com and other major LLC's.As we are also fulfilling the Sustainable Development goals of the UN,we might also be eligible to get their funding. We can also collaborate with municipalities to maintain and implement our app. This can save them a lot of money that they spent for helping provide food for the needed and thus in return give us a fair share for maintaining the app. Ads can also be displayed in certain parts of the app.
