Everyday, more than 20 crores kilograms of food is wasted in India. On the other hand, over 20 crore people sleep empty stomach in India every single day. This is very ironic and sad at the same time. Almost a kilogram of food is wasted per hungry stomach every day. Also , the NGOs willing to donate food often lack the resources or connections needed to do so.

Anndaan is a platform where the people or organisations having surplus food can post a pick-up request containing the details of the food. The NGO’s or individuals willing to pick-up the food and donate it to the people in need can accept the requests and do so. The website will also display the names of the top volunteers on the website , helping in their promotion too.
