The problem Ambulance Tracker. solves
Today, to get an ambulance in case of an emergency, we need to call the hospital or the emergency services number, after which an ambulance is dispatched to your location. In this hackathon project idea, we are planning to build a live tracking app like Uber or Ola where an individual can book an ambulance in just a few clicks entering details of your emergency. The platform can also be used by ambulances to pick the best route to reach the nearest hospital. It can be linked together to ensure that everybody with the app gets a notification that an ambulance is going to pass their street, so they can keep the lane empty. This would prove to be a very useful solution for the public at large.
Challenges we ran into
General issues-The challenge that we came across was the proper platform where the project shoud we implemented after discussion with teammates we went with the andriod and ios app which we are planning to build with the help of flutter in which we can develop a cross-platform application. Since we had a limited time frame we planned and went ahead with the basic layout and design firstly in the pen and paper and then on figma which was a little bit challenging.
Specific issues- Understanding the structure of ambulannce in the country, Gps tracking is one of our main concerns and alerts that will be received to the hospital on the client side.
