Ambulance GIS System with Real Time traffic

Tell me your destination and I promise you the shortest path with minimum traffic. #Health and Urban Population Management

The problem Ambulance GIS System with Real Time traffic solves

Every year thousands of people lose their lives due to delay in ambulance services. One of the major factor contributing to this is the traffic congestions on its way. So, we incorporate the real time traffic information generated by cameras and sensors that will be installed in the main traffic hotspots(junction) to reach the destination in minimum time possible and hence minimizing the number of deaths.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't integrate Google Maps API because of time constraint. So, we generated our own graph of the map.

Visualization of the real time simulation was not working as expected. A lot of searching and debugging helped us to overcome this challenge.

Real data of traffic congestion was not considered. We generated random traffic congestion intensities in regular intervals and used them for simulation purpose.

System was lagging a little when starting the simulation. With advanced processors, this lagging will not be a problem.
